PRESIDENT: DAVID OFOSU-BARTELS
Major (Retired) David Ofosu Bartels entered GSTS in 1985 and completed O’Level in 1990. He continued his A’Level at Tema Secondary School. At GSTS he was a member of the Cadet Corps and Plots Monitor in Vanderpuye House.
David served as an Air Battle Manager in the United States Air Force (USAF) for 20 years and is currently retired. His duties included Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance flying on Boeing’s E-3 Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AWACS) and Northrop Grumman’s E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS). After retiring from active duty, David was the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor for the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AF JROTC) leading studies in aviation history, aviation and space science, college and career readiness, global studies, practical leadership, and health and wellness at Wilkes Central High School, Wilkesboro, North Carolina for two years.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Auburn University Montgomery, Montgomery, Alabama (1999). He also earned a Master of Science in Management from Liberty University, Lyncburg, Virginia (2008). He graduated from the United States Air Force’s Squadron Officer School (2006) and Air Command and Staff College (2009). He completed the United States’ Joint Forces Staff College in 2012.
1st VICE PRESIDENT: DR EDWARD BOTSE-BAIDOO – 2nd TERM (JULY 2024 – JULY 2026)
Dr Edward Botse-Baidoo entered GSTS in 1986 and completed his O level in 1991. He then went on to continue his A level at Presbyterian Boys Secondary School – Legon where he completed in 1993. At GSTS, Edward was in Ritchie House and served as the Upper Dorm Prefect. He then proceeded to University of Ghana, Legon where he obtained his B.Sc Medical Sciences.
He proceeded to University of Ghana Medical School/Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. In the States, he did his Medical Residency in Internal Medicine at Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA now Georgia Reagents University.
Dr. Edward Botse-Baidoo is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and specializes in the Hospitalized Patient. He worked at Grand Strand Reginal Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC from 2008 – 2012. He is currently with McLeod Loris Seacoast Hospital System as a Lead Hospitalist since 2012. He is currently licensed in SC, NC and GA. He is also a part owner of Parker Truck Auto & Wrecker LLC in Conway, SC which is an Autodelership and Garage which also deals in export of used cars. He also operates a car rental company in (Icar Ghana) which is mainly for visitors to Ghana.
My brother Peter Baidoo is also a proud Giant. Edward resides in Myrtle Beach, SC with his wife and 4 children.
2nd VICE PRESIDENT: EMMANUEL ODAME ADAMS – 1ST TERM (JULY 2024 – JULY 2026)
GENERAL SECRETARY: DR. DANIEL RICHTER – 1 TERM (JULY 2024 – JULY 2026)
Dr. Danny Tetteh-Richter is a proud alumnus of Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS), where he completed his O-Level in 1992. He went on to pursue his A-Level at St. Augustine’s College. During his time at GSTS, he was an active member of Ritchie House and a standout athlete, representing the school in field events at the regional level.
Now a seasoned educator with over 20 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Tetteh-Richter has dedicated his career to inspiring students and advancing learning. He specializes in instructional design and technology, and is known for his innovative approach to teaching and his ability to create inclusive, engaging learning environments.
A passionate advocate for educational technology, he integrates digital tools and multimodal platforms to enhance the learning experience. His student-centered teaching philosophy and commitment to academic excellence have earned him wide respect among peers and students alike.
Dr. Tetteh-Richter continues to be a strong proponent of lifelong learning and educational equity, and remains a source of pride for the GSTS alumni community.
1ST DEPUTY GENERAL SECRETARY: JERRY ANDERSON – 1 TERM (JULY 2024 – JULY 2026)
Giant Jerry Anderson completed GSTS in 2005. A member of Einstein House, he went on to pursue a BSc in Building Technology from KNUST and an MSc in Management, focusing on leadership and project management at Troy University, AL.
He is also a PMI-certified Project Management Professional.
Recently retired from the US Air Force as a Project and Program Manager, he has led civil, construction, facilities maintenance, operations and several infrastructural projects both in the United States and overseas. Gt. Anderson is passionate about achieving strategic goals through team development, creative problem solving, effective communication, and collaboration.

Mr. Kwabena Nkansah has a Masters degree in Accounting from University of Maryland, College Park and is an Auditor by profession.
As Chairman of the organizing committee, he played a key role during the associations 10th Anniversary dinner dance celebration in Virginia, 2017. He was also the association’s representative at the GAA General Assembly.
Back at G.S.T.S, Kwabena was a member of the Scripture Union. He completed O’level in 1992 and was in Vanderpuye house (2).
